So sometimes I'll go through the introductions page to see new people and I'll say hi, react, welcome, etc. Anybody who happens to be new to the site.

But something I've realised is that I always have to go and filter the page to only show brand new posts.

Because without fail on the most recently responded to threads (default filter) there will be a some post of a woman who I'm sure became exhausted and turned off notifs with the 100+ replies on her 7 month old introduction.

Now I'm sure these women are genuinely lovely. But men, being serious? What the hell are you doing?! Is there really no point you've figured out "Hey maybe commenting on every woman's post I can find from the past 2 years" is a little bit weird and creepy?

It's a little sad because there's always some new person (usually a guy or person of unspecified gender) who's not had a single hello or a react in hours or even days! And I'm sure they'd still appreciate feeling welcomed even though you don't want to fuck them.

Like I get it, I'm sure you're probably horny and wow girls are so cool and amazing and pretty!
But please try and be normal about it, I swear I get secondhand embaressment from sharing the same gender!

Many can't even click on the OP namev and check *her(?)* last online date.
Many are answering 3 year old posts from someone who was active one week and never came back 🤣

I agree. It is so shameful on guys I can't even get to send messages to any known female cause I'd be just one more weirdo. Even if I have a... normal type of comment.

Genuinely this is something I didn't even realise! There's probably people who made an account 3 years ago and haven't logged in in 17 months, still getting random comments.

It's more than a little desperate and shows the shallowest form of interest when you can't even check somebody's profile to see if they've talked about themselves or if they're even interested in DM's to begin with. But that of course assumes they're still around :husky_laughing:

It’s just guys being desperate and overly horny really. Personally whenever I see a post of a girl who looks attractive, is horny, seems nice to chat with etc I just send a dm. If I get a response sweet, if not it’s np. Keep on just browsing through the forums enjoying my time on here 😁 And of course keep in mind the date of posts

I hope I haven't offended or creeped anyone out on here and if so I apologise. I have probably definitely been that guy though once or twice at least, there are not many women on here from my neck if the woods and you better believe I messaged them all, it's hard living in a desert, sometimes a person can get a little thirsty

While I haven't made an introduction and I appreciate your concern the men on here are much better behaved than on any of my other socials! Any time I have yet to receive an overly crass DM and so far no one has blown up after I have left them on read. Not to mention every one has been way more respectful being weary about crossing my boundaries and I have yet to just be sent dick pick or threatened to be made straight ifykwim.

I'm a little shocked but so very happy that you've had a nice time in this site! I think between how niche the community is and the fact that people can't send photos for quite a while after joining the forum probably has something to do with it.

But saying that I know niche and taboo communities can often have even worse people than more mainstream places.

Either way I am really happy to hear you've had a nicer time here than other places and everybody who's come your way has managed to be the bare minimum of decent!

I’ve got bad news. Most of “the women” in intros are men.

Yeah that is creepy. I’m new here and just happy to be around similar folks with similar interests. Reading about everyone’s encounters is great! It’s nice to me you and everyone else

Yeah, honestly men just tend to be on the weirder side of things, I used to be that way when I was younger on discord, and for me, the thought process was that if I messaged them, then they might date me or something like that. So I don't think it's at all intentional, it's just being desperate I think.

But I've also changed a lot since like 5 or 6 years ago, so maybe it's different for other people. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Wow, that was an enlightening read. I feel like the majority of what needed to be said was said, but I have to ask: is there no way to report people for being thirsty assholes? My opinion, for what it's worth, is that any unwanted dick pics or messages should be reported, and after a certain number of reports I believe there should exist some form of temperament alteration. Smack them on the head, ban them for a week, whichever you prefer, but something should be done so that everyone feels welcome here.

I also realize this idea may already exist and I am simply unaware of it, if that is the case please forgive my ignorance on the matter.

Men are often times, dumb-dumbs.

I noticed your cartoon pfp, so I assumed you may not be aware for various reasons.
I think this is the second time you've actually pointed this out to me over the months I've been on this website.

I don't really mind as it's a neutral observation, but I also don't really understand your reasoning or what you're trying to say. Especially because your profile photo is also a cartoon, just done in a more vintage style.

Would love an explanation of your thought process here if you don't mind?

Definitely a neutral observation. I associate the cartoons like yours (not book covers like mine) with possible youth and inexperience. Sorry if I upset you, friend. 🥂

I do understand the confusion. Maybe they should add a feature where if you haven't logged on in a while it'll flag all your posts as old.

I do also understand a lot of the comments where people (especially men) are desperate for some form of release. However it frustrates me when women assume I'm one of these people and categorizes me with perverts and creeps.

I'm mostly gay I have no interest in wooing you for pics 😂

Desperate and horny says the dick avatar haha 😂

Oh no not upsetting at all, genuinely just something I picked up on and was curious about. I don't think even if it was a genuine attempt at an attack I would bring myself to be bothered by somebody's comments on a profile pic.

I see your reasoning and understand it but I feel that when it comes to a mostly anonymous website that most people aren't going to use real things as avatars so it might not apply as broadly as on other sites, it's not exactly like somebody having the same photos on standard social media.

I don't think it's too difficult to tell to be totally honest! There's literally a timestamp at the top of each post with either 'X time ago' or a date if it's been long enough!

I'd say something about your profile pick making your orientation obvious with the sheath and giant balls but then I realised my photo is also male centric and I'm very much interested in women. I just found it because it happened to match my username and felt appropriate!

All men suffer from the hands of weirdos harassing, creeping out, and being straight up dangerous to women. If only there was a way to teach those guys self-awareness and basic empathy, people of all genders would benefit.

Lol! It's not just the women, I'm a younger (20 something) gay man and I get just as many thirsty fellows slipping into my messages (especially after I made the mistake of posting some neck down body shots and dick pics in the show yourself thread). Let's face it, most men think with their dicks, doesn't matter that they might live on the other side of the planet from me and there is zero chance we'll ever meet or hook up, they are going to take their shot anyway.

Haha yeah I'm familiar with this too! I'm in my later 20's and have shared stuff here in the past.
But not just on a site like this, any kind of social media or social apps for making friends etc. There's always a some guy at least 2x my age asking strange things in the first message, it's so creepy. Like why is a man in his 60's messaging asking if I wanna share some viagra?! Like wtf I don't know you and even if I did?!

Just made this post because it's so blatantly obvious when guys are harassing women here, posting on 20 different profile in 15 minutes if they wanna fuck their dog. It's 100x worse for them I don't know how they put up with it 😭

The big issues that I found are
1) people who ask "what did you do with your dog?" - who want a quick fix while I'm trying to juggle a career and a busy home life
2) people with no real interest in the role of this site but who want to make a date to get you into bed - even though if I were interested in that, I wouldn't be on this site but on a dating site or something
3) people who send a message saying "hi". What's that all about?
If it were one message every now and again that wouldn't be quite so bad, but I swear that many men on this site have read some statistic or other saying that only one in a thousand of their mails is successful so they dash off to bombard as quickly as possible 999 women who have no interest at all in their proposition until they finally reach their pot of gold. They don't care about the women at all as long as they get what they want.
Every single site that I have ever seen has been killed off from a woman's point of view by these irresponsible males. There's a well-known chat site with a "women-only" room but that is so full of men who pounce on you the moment your name appears on the "joined" list that hardly anyone of the female sex goes there any more

I find a lot of men really would benefit from learning much of those traits. To become better communicators but also better individuals overall. Men make up the large group of aggressors and harassers and I believe it stems from the lack of self fulfilment. They are not happy with their lives so they'll take advantage of anything to make them feel strong and powerful. Both of which are remnants from old biology. Some day nature will work the kinks out. or just wipe us out, whatever comes first lol

Probably why I often don't feel completely human hence the furry art profile. I look at my fellow species and see all their flaws and so I do my best to correct those flaws within myself. Being the better creature I suppose. But at the end of the day I still am one of them. Sometimes it disgusts me.

Another reason I chose nothing personal was I want people to send a message and ask questions. In order to spark real conversations. I love answering personal questions cause it shows me your really interested in who I am.

It's always equally validating/frustrating to hear stories like this from a woman's perspective. It makes sense that for everything that happens publicly or in the open, there's a whole bunch more that happens in private or DM's.

Interestingly I have a 'fun' fact about you mentioning that statistic idea:
I was watching a deep-dive/breakdown of these types of weird shitty 'alpha male guru' types online, and something you just made me remember is that as part of the grift they tell the boys and men that fall for their 'wisdom' that even if they follow all of their advice that it's still only going to work 1% of the time. It's a sort of trick to try and convince them that they're doing the right thing they just need to do it to as many women as possible, which of course never works, this then leads them to think they're doing something wrong (which they are) but they take the complete wrong lesson and return to follow even more deranged advice and maybe even give money to them for the higher level knowledge they think they're missing out on.

It's all really fucked up. You'd think something like 'show basic respect, interest and make her laugh' would be easy enough to follow but they end up convinced that there's some crazy set of things they have to do just to get laid. The bar is so low.

Do you have a favorite recipe for crumpets?

bet ya never would have expected that! (But I am serious if you got a good mix for em I'd love it)

Other wise not much more to say then spot on.
