Heh, funny. I was also considering asking @UR20Z pretty much the same thing.

Right after I hit the post button, I realized I should ETA that I wasn't sure which one would be more appropriate, but just then I got called away from the keyboard, and it slipped my mind until I just saw this exchange. For this situation, I guess the Disturbed version would be more apropos. Darker than S&G's.

I forget the name of the reviewer that said it, but he described the two with words very much like "S&G's version was a warning, and D's is the rage at seeing the warning being ignored".

I do definitely like Disturbed's take on the song. It's darker, well rounded, more modern sounding, and cleaner sounding overall. But me personally I like G&F version better. Mainly because my father used to play Simon & Garfunkel as a kid and hearing them simply takes me back to a simpler time. It's the version of the song I grew up with and liked. Chicago (the band not the city) essentially does the same thing. Hearing one of Chicago's songs is always a classic hit from the nostalgia pipe.
