Hey Zooville community!

As many of you know, we're more than just a group of animal lovers—our bond with our animals is deep and special. So why not take that connection to the next level by creating our own meme coin? I’m talking about a fun cryptocurrency that reflects our community’s love for animals!

A lighthearted and community-driven cryptocurrency. Think of it as a way for us to engage with one another while also spreading the word about our connection with our four-legged friends. Like other meme coins (think Dogecoin, Shiba Inu), this coin will be more than just a currency—it will represent our community’s shared values, love for animals, and playful spirit!

Why Create a Meme Coin?

Celebrate Our Bond: the coin will symbolize the love we share with our animals.
Fun & Engagement: Imagine fun competitions, giveaways, and events where we use the coin as a reward system!

Future Possibilities: Who knows? Maybe one day this coin could have real value within our community, or even beyond! ?
How Can We Make This Happen?
Creating a meme coin isn’t as hard as you might think! Here’s what we’ll need:

A Name: you all have better ideas? Let’s brainstorm!
Artwork & Branding: We need some fun, cute, or funny designs featuring animals to represent the crypto coin.
Development: We’ll need someone with crypto development skills to help create the actual coin.
Community Involvement: This is OUR coin. The more ideas and contributions from everyone, the better!
Next Steps

Let’s discuss the name and design ideas in the comments below.
If anyone has experience in crypto, development, or artwork, step forward!
Let’s start small with a fun project and see where it takes us.
Who’s ready to get creative with our own meme coin? ?

Comment your thoughts, ideas, and let’s make the meme coin happen! ???

part of me says yes! fun! awesome! another part says... We fly under the radar and are in constant jeopardy... cryptocurrency is tightly monitored by authorities and large powers that dont like it... mixing zoo community + crypto might be dangerous... but then i am also like.. who is that thinking bummer person!? it would be fuuuun! ??

So just another crypto scam?
Nope, I was thinking that the admins should be in charge of the project, with this you will not require the donations and the community can generate income from this after it succeeds, it was just an idea and i was not suggesting that I should be in charge.

I don't think that it will be dangerous, we can keep the community here, I don't think that anyone will start tracing the wallets of each buyer. I believe that crypto is safe and private and that is why we use it for donations on the platform.

I think this is a really cool idea! It would definitely be fun to have a cryptocurrency that represents our love for animals. I'm sure we could come up with some great names and designs. If anyone has experience in crypto development, they should step forward too!
Let's see how this project takes shape!

If you put aside the potential of a scam.
1. Mining the coin will consume energy for pretty much nothing. The energy you are taking from the environment indirectly or perhaps directly worsening the planet for the animals we love.
2. How do you buy the coin? Are you going to put your payment information into a system that is going to store a database of predominantly zoo people? I do not see any way this could be exploited at all. :D
3. How about you donate the amount of money or the equivalent you would pay for the energy bill to a shelter or an organization that actually helps animals in some tangible way?
I would value you more if you said on the forum, that you donated 5000 <currency> to save polar bears, stop hunting or you spent that money to take in a stray dog, than if you bought a virtual nothing that has a virtual value that helps nobody.

oh shit! i think you're on to something... what if we have like a thread where we make a donation of x value and screen shot it with our identification stuff removed, and then make like and NFT art piece to go along with it? maybe folks would get into that and it could do some real good? i personally think that might be fun... and.. i. can't say more, but kinda know some crypto folks and the actual logistics of actually doing it can be pretty crazy and not just something you could throw on a random admin to do in their free time but as a creative outlet + microcosmic positive change.. maybe donation posts + art could work?

If we do move forward with the crypto coin, we’ll explore eco-friendly alternatives like *Proof of Stake (PoS)* instead of traditional mining, which uses far less energy. There are even blockchain platforms focused on sustainability that we can use to minimize our impact. The last thing we want is to harm the animals or environment we care so deeply about, and I totally share that concern.

*Proof of Stake (PoS) (no mining required):

Many newer blockchains, like Ethereum after its upgrade, Cardano, or Polygon, use proof of stake. In PoS systems, validators are selected to confirm transactions based on the amount of cryptocurrency they hold and are willing to "stake" as collateral. This method is much more energy-efficient and doesn't require traditional mining.
For creating a meme coin, most people choose existing blockchains (like Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum, or Solana) and simply create a token using smart contracts. In this case, no mining is needed. You would just deploy a smart contract that governs your coin, which can be much easier, cheaper, and environmentally friendly.

So, mining isn’t necessary unless you specifically choose a mining-based blockchain!

We could Use BNB, Ethreium, Solana or Ton. And creat a token using a smart contract. It will be a community token and that means that there is no original owner. Every person will have equal opportunity. It is easy to do that. All you need is a name, a ticket and a picture. We could even creat a group for the token on this forum and also teach beginners about crypto.

I can absolutely positively tell you nobody from the mod or administration team on ZV would have time or likely desire to do this.
Okay. Then I guess we will only onboard those that are open to the idea. And maybe create a group on the forum. It is not that hard. I am postive that many members will start joining after seeing the success *that is if it succeeds. It is what we call #FOMO in crypto. It doesn't take more than ten minutes to create a token.

What! Why would you do that? I suggested that you guys should be in charge and you refused. There is no possibility of scam if you are the ones creating it. you just have to understand crypto. You don't have to be afraid. Crypto is the future. Amd I only want to enlighten members of this community, so that they are not left back, anyway, it was only a suggestion. But even when Bitcoin started, it faced strong opposition.

This is a horribly bad idea. The ledger is public... all transactions can be seen (unless your forking monero)... with current KYC laws, any wallets that interact with real world money have known owners. There's no way for people to buy in anonymously outside of mining... and what will this be used for... buying items... that's only so effective because at the end of the day someone somewhere will want to turn what they have back in to regular money. So how will that work. Are you suggesting someone set up as the currency converter and be the point that the eye of sauron will focus on the moment some police/gov person wants an easy arrest.

You're going to run into every problem most cryptos have run into... with the added complexity of... Less people being interested in this coin... along with the more important issue of people being worried about being outed.
Trying to use crypto anonymously has become increasingly more difficult over the years. You have to go to extreme lengths to obfuscate who you are so you cant be tracked. Monero has somehow survived while other Privacy focused coins have been utterly annihilated by the US gov. Just look up what happened to Torando Cash.

NGL... My gut reaction when I first read this was, "Someone used ChatGPT to write this."
I'm sorry but normal people just don't talk like this. The way the sentences are structured... the use of certain phrases... the emphasis on certain things... it all screams AI LLM. If you use LLMs enough you start to notice the patterns in how it "writes".

I'm not Anti-AI... I use it quite a bit myself. However... using it in a forum post to promote something instead of writing your thoughts in an original and honest way... I doubt their sincerity.

We have had a few previous scam attempts on the forum including one where someone wanted zoo money to buy and create a zoo island. :D Ridiculous.
So that is the vibe I am getting from this.
Lets say ZV would go into this, the OP would suggest to take care of the technical or setup phase because none of the admins likely knows anything about this.
My opinion is that this idea is either a scam already or likely to be if implemented by anyone in the zoo "community".

Those are my thoughts, I just used AI to enhance it, and English is like my third language, so I am not that perfect in it.

My opinion is that this idea is either a scam already
I'd say scam or some Junior LEO hoping to make a name for themselves. If this idea came from someone within the community... that'd be one thing. But from a user who's been on the site for just about a month...

Okay that is ridiculous, zoo Island !? ?

What!? Just because I have been here for a month, I am not supposed to bring out my thoughts.

Okay, I understand that the admins don't understand much about this, but it is pretty easy, making a token on an established platform like Solana, BNB and Etherium is very easy

You are, but your lack of notoriety makes you less trustworthy.
Okay I get that, it is just that I prefer reading other people's threads and I contribute sometimes. I will be honest, I have not had a lot of experience with zoo stuff, and I am still exploring about this other side of me. But it does not help to have a community that has little impact on what we believe in. I know that coming here and teaching and taking each other through this is a big step, but it is just the first step. The fact is that we would have more impact to the community and animals if we could generate some source of income. And crypto is an easy go for that. We have community driven crypto projects that have succeeded; $Notcoin $Dogs $CATDOG. $CATDOG was able to donate $100,000 to animal shelters in its first development stages. We can be able to build a PPP community. Sorry for all the grammatical errors. English is my third language and I am trying not to use AI.

And all those projects have one in common. The community behind them is not illegal almost everywhere.

I hear your concerns, but let me break it down to show you why this might not be as problematic as it seems.

Privacy & Public Ledgers: Yes, blockchains are transparent, but privacy can still be maintained. We can use wallets that don’t require personal info to be linked, and we can avoid centralized exchanges that force KYC (Know Your Customer) rules. Plus, with tools like mixers or privacy-focused wallets, your transactions don’t have to be easily traceable. For those worried about being “outed,” there are ways to participate without revealing personal details.

KYC & Real-World Interaction: If you're not planning to convert the crypto tokens back into fiat currency, you can stay completely anonymous. There are decentralized exchanges (DEXs) that don’t require KYC and allow people to trade directly, peer-to-peer. You don't need to expose your identity to participate. We can also explore using the strictly within our community, where everyone knows each other and trusts the system, avoiding larger exposure.

Utility: The real use for ACC is within our community—think of it as a fun way to exchange value and engage with each other. Instead of converting it back to regular money, we could use it for community rewards, tipping, or even small exchanges between members. The focus isn’t on turning it into dollars but rather keeping it within our group as a fun and engaging tool. It will be a crypto projet driven by a secret community. And we do not have to directly link it to the community, "zoo ville"
And all those projects have one in common. The community behind them is not illegal almost everywhere.
Yeah I know that. But we do not have to directly link it to this community, we do not even have to creat a name that suggests anything about this community. We could choose a name of an animal, something that we believe in or just an acronym.

So talking about this mysterious anonymous coin not connected to the zoo community in a group on the largest international zoo forum definitely would not reveal it being connected at all. :D

No, I am never going to support anyone selling porn (because lest be honest, that is what it would be used for).
We are not going to support animal prostitution or sexual exploitation of animals for monetary gain. That is already in the rules.

Okay that is not what I meant. I do not support sexual explotation of animals for monetary gain as well.
And using Dex exchange to purchase the coin is safe. For example Raydium and Jupita for Solana, Pancake swap for BNB and uniswap for ethreium. Once the coin goes public, thousands of people will be accessing it and no one will start tracing the wallets of thousands of people. You do not have to worry at all about that. When it succeeds on a Dex exchange, we can even hit millions of people having the coin.

Look, you are not going to convince me. I think that is pretty obvious.
Once Floofy sees this thread, he will make some decision about it.
Anyone else can read this discussion and decide themselves whether this is worth it or not.
