Wasn't the private forum called The Inner Sanctum, set up as a forum for the mods to discuss issues related to board members' behavior on the site when it came to potential bannings and such? IIRC the Willard offer to sell a copy of Horsecore was one of the issues handled in the Inner Sanctum that caused a big row on the public board.

TOG is correct with spiderham being my alternate name for sharing movies. That allowed me some breathing space, I could share movies without having trolls come out to hit me as midnitecrow. This was an open secret among the regs.
We did have a couple of password protected spots, one for mods and the other for the 'elder statesmen', which is the one TOG is talking about.
Petal and Harlow broke up and Petal married a woman later, we were facebook friends a while back.
HJ was fun and so was Zool. There was a of of fun friendly people, enough to make up for the trolls, mostly.

Fun to see the old names again.
Yellow Rose passing broke our collective hearts and the forums were never as much fun for me after that.
 
I'm pleased to have stumbled on this post whilst perusing the forum. I've seen some of the leaked Horsecore material and recall much talk about it a LONG time ago when I was a relative newbie on-line (under my original nick). I dialoged with someone named Seighin back when who apparently had the two ponies involved in the videos (e.g., Pooka and Alcapony). Thanks for some ancient history education folks!
 
I had an account there, and lurked for a very long time before I worked up enough courage to reply... I can't say that I made any real friends there, but I do remember those names, and how sad I was when I found out it no longer existed. @midnitecrow you had a wonderful place, and I want to personally thank you for creating and managing it. One of the first times in my entire life I didn't feel like I was on the outside just looking through the window...
 
well, if we’re going back in time, who remembers connecting to an ancient BBS called Kennels and Stables?
There used to be a newsletter/mini mag that was out around the same time, but I can’t remember what it was named.
 
Reading this thread takes me back. The PLF was was my go to. What a forum that was. Many of you guys have way better memories than me, so thanks for bringing up sites and names I'd long forgotten.
