I don't think you were able to understand what you were told.
When we talk about hyenas, we're not talking about bites, like from a dog, which leaves bruises and at most 2-4 holes from the teeth as a bad memory.
We're talking about bites like a brutal sinking of teeth with the force of a hydraulic press with tearing and shedding of flesh, severe blood loss, pain far beyond any limit of bearability and possible lethality.
If you still think it's worth it, and if you don't mind getting on the register of people who have received a Darwin аward, go on, go for Africa.
