Really the only issue you have is money. You could find somewhere to board your mare for a year. It's super expensive but you retain ownership. Someone else takes care of her 50 weeks out of the year. You pay a stall fee that includes food, vet, grooming, training.

It's actually quite common.

Same with most all farm animals. You just rent someone else's time and land.

But then how do you go about having quality time with her? I'd have thought a set up like that would be very public?
