You should stretch, quite a lot. Knotting can be rough, especially seeing you interested in large breeds.
Being able to pull out a fully inflated knot can be quite useful too

That's why I'd suggest using a dildo first to get roughly used to the size you would be taking, if you can take the knot of the toy well that's a good start to taking a real knot
