Yes, at work. That's what happens when the higher ups decide to implement an arbitrary evaluation system that promotes nepotism and lickspittles.

No, but I've missed promotion due to declining it myself. :) I prefer to do what I'm good at to getting into a position where my tasks would be things that I'm not good at like managing bureaucracy or supervising other people.
