Has anyone ever met up with other zoos on this site?

Just playing devil's advocate.
It is a risk and suspicion scenario. I suppose if something you said suddenly resonated in a bad way to the guy, he would do right in not risking himself and his dog.

Just in the same way, if something sounded fake in him to you, you should avoid exposing yourself and hubby and dissapear without volunteering more information.

Junt my two cents. It could, of course, be someone who just played along with you for his fun and fantasy.
 
Yes, I've met a few. So far all have been really cool people. Not like the old BF days. I met some weird ones back then. They seemed normal online but in person were completely opposite. Weird how that happens but that's life. Thankfully ZV has been good to me and I've been lucky to meet some awesome folks.

I agree.

This site is WAY better than BF. ZV is no where near the trainwreck BF was the last several years.

But, either way, the site isn't match dot com, which is where 90% of the membership gets it wrong. Anyone here CAN have meetups, but if that's why you're here, you're in for a surprise and disappointment.

The key word there is reputable. And I would be very VERY circumspect about the entire concept of beast dating or anything of that nature.

MANY people here are, I feel, unduly over-worried about law enforcement and being entraped and all that noise. BUT, I qualify MY thoughts on that by saying AS it pertains to THIS site. I mean, it's a GLOBAL format. And I think to myself, how likely is it some wingnut cop in podunk alabama will be successful feathering his cap here, where his "target" is just as likely to be from 12,000 miles away as anywhere within his actual jurisdiction?

BUT, you take AWAY the gobal concept, and place it into a format that BY DEFINITION requires it to be set up into "Areas" and localities? Now you've placed yourself directly into the crosshairs. At that point, I think your risk now exceeds rational limits for anyone with a brain.

And, just as importantly, leaving aside the entire concept of arrests....can you think of a BETTER way to single out zoos for the crusader anti-zoo types?

And then there are all the random psychos out there. You'll meet many of those here as well, but as with the other things, the.....zero'ing in is no where near as precise by design.

Everyone is free to make their own choices, but, from my point of view, I think it would be in your best interests to be very very cautious of any such sites or apps, and in fact, that entire concept.

To answer your question directly, No, I don't know of any sites like that. I would avoid them if I did, but I know of none.

There used to be K9-Dating and Beast Dating, which were dating sites for zoos. But as it turned out they were hosted on servers that are known to be VERY much anti-zoo. So more than likely they were honeypots that were created to entrap zoos. So they definitely were not reputable in the slightest. There was also ZoosBook, which wasn't a dating site, but more of a Social Media platform for zoos. While the owners were likely not anti-zoos, that website was a mess and a half. There were plenty of security vulnerabilities (such as allowing integration with FaceBook and Twitter) as well as a ton of abusive porn.

About the only thing anyone can hope for is to find someone that's willing to be in a relationship, message them with friendship in mind, and see if something naturally blossoms over time. So, you're chances are about as good as shooting a can placed in a 1,000 SQFT room in the dark. Although posting on this form and demonstrating that you actually have a personality helps a bit. As you'll have a track record that someone can actually go off of.

I recall the general vibe at BF being "never meet anyone for your own safety". Which always bummed me out, as it sounded like everyone must be suspicious.

We're curious how you go about building the trust to meet people

Time. During that time lots of chat. I met quite a few. One in particular knew me for 10 years before we ever actually met. That was and still is a great friendship.
