I think there is something with the animation studios where they contract out artists and it can change through the season. Maybe not main artists but CG, backgrounds, etc. Because if you ever watched So I'm a Spider So What, it has an epic story imo, and the art for the first 5 to 6 episodes was stellar. Then it turned into some weird CGI stuff and looked awful half the time. It's the reason they aren't getting a second season
