Bah... You punk kids have it easy with your fancy-schmancy hexadecimal and macro assemblers and compilers and interpreters... Back in the day, we had binary, BCD, and octal, and by god, we made do, even if it did mean spending 3 weeks hand-assembling the bootstrap code, then another half a day toggling it into the console (Keyboards? Keyboards are for the secretary!) before hitting the execute switch and hoping we didn't put a bit in the wrong place so as to make the whole damned thing go fandango on core and wipe out the entire admin department's payroll data for the week!
