• NOTICE: Welcome back to Zooville! We've had to completely rebuild the server and restore data from backups after a non-security-related hardware incident. Please allow some time for the dust to settle. The site may be slow and not all features may work immediately. Intermittent downtime may occur while we work to restore the site.

Latest backup was from July 8th, so anything after that date will have been lost but that should have been less than 24 hours of data.

While restoring from backups we're also upgrading to the latest forum software.

Do you keep 'normal' fur stuff separate from the zoo side? If so, how do you do it?

They are integrated into furry writing and art, but most would look at it differently as most of the furries I hang around are zeta Furries and regular furries but we tolerate each other's direct kinks. I learned zoology and exotic animal care as well as equestrian, feline, and k9 as well as wolf pack caretaking. Now yes some furries are zeta furries and we will talk about bad dragons and integration into Purr suits as well as Murrsuits. During gatherings, we have decorum that is for public entertainment and interaction as the entertainment of others is a necessity to put them at ease and have fun of course.
After all, fursuits are designed to fit the individual to become the best version of themselves and for so they have many different versions of themselves.

I just recently decided to let the curtain fall, and start getting some zoo artwork here and there. No one has mentioned anything, but I really dont expect a big show of it to be honest. As awkward as it makes me feel to share it with others, I'm into vore, and when I got my first few commissions of it, I honestly only got some light ribbing from my friends and that was it. Its gonna be the same thing with any feral or zoo art that I get.

Unless someone has a personal vendetta against you, the worst thing that will happen is that you lose a friend.

Anyways, I need another drink.

I studied and and trained to be an exotic animal technician specializing in herpetology and avian species, but I decided that making things with my hands would be more fun, lol. What a left field change that was.

My studies were acting as the head of zoological studies and leading the Veterinarian team's apprentice it was found that my communication skills with simians and other species are, as the staff stated, extraordinary and savant. Although very provocative and unique as a zookeeper and handler, animals create communicative bonds with him that require further study to appreciate and fully utilize. My staff has witnessed, recorded, and documented some exceedingly rare once-in-a-lifetime moments that we will be reexamining for decades to follow and attempting to appropriate more information as this individual is under our watchful instruction and accepts all our experience as well as education but has an inborn ability we have yet to explain and he still readily reminds us we are all animals and part of this planet's diversity. We have much to learn, the first is mutual respect as both apex predators' cunning, instinctual, tactical thinking, hunting-gathering, creating building, humans' animals will build things for comfort, convenience, ego, and scientific advancement. Yet, we find these guys were in abandoned buildings denning up and this is out of necessity and survival.

Very separated. I cannot go into too much detail. But. I have been commissioning furry art for a very long time. Mostly of equines, with a part of it being feral art. Combine that with my fursona and fursuit, I am very easily recognizable in the fandom. But my zoo side is completely separated. Only a few trusted fur friends know. (Zoos themselves).

Some antis began targeting me hard about two years ago simply over my art commissions. Really spun up my depression to the point I don’t post anything anymore. The amount of hateful comments and threats I received really stomped out my flame of desire for commissioning and posting art. Same with my fursuit stuff. I just can’t post anymore. I don’t enjoy it like I used to. (Thanks anti’s)

I know it might hurt to post things when you're getting harassed by some, but I am sure that a LOT of others love the things you commission. Ceasing your activity in the fandom is yielding ground to the antis, it's conceding that you don't belong. That's not true at all. Bullies should not be given concessions. Report harassment. Go public with harassment. Let your fellow feral lovers help you. Show the antis that their behavior is not acceptable.

I have tried. But depression and anxiety prevent me from doing that. Let alone enjoy furry things any more.

I know what you're going through. You may feel isolated, but there's always help for things like this. It might take a change of venue and a new perspective, but you can get through it.

Yep, separated. To the point that I have a separate email and stuff to be here, I'm not mixing the two at all costs :D

Also, @Ynylgseha what is a purr suit? A new term for me lol

Totally agree with others here... I keep it totally separate, never mention my fursona here, never mention this site to other furs... a bit isolating, but i gotta protect myself, ya know?

Don’t have my own sona, but the accounts I engage with for zoo and furry are miles apart. And those two are isolated from everything else

I've got everything as separated as I can. I'm fully anonymous on here, have two different telegram accounts, and just try my best to keep my zoo side away from my furry side. I'm decently well known on the furry side in my area, so if anyone were to find out, it would not be good at all. Sucks though because I'd love to meet some zoos in person :(

Yeah, I keep the two sides entirely separate. I even made a separate fursona for these sort of spaces. Sure, I'd love to find some like-minded friends here, but the risk of harassment just isn't worth it.

Same, it's rather dangerous to let the two mix in the open. Safer to have some degree of separation at least

I have a seperate sona for each. My main sona is too well known, so I commissioned a second sona for kink art and such. Keep names seperate, two accounts everywhere, alt telegram, etc. Its annoying, but it works.

I think I blur the lines a bit. While I don't outwardly shout out, "I'm a zoo, I'm a zoo", I think I leave enough subtle hints on my barq profile and theres enough plausible deniability to defend myself. I'm also an elder millennial, so I'm really not interacting with the current generation of furries, and their eyes don't often stray my way either.

It's good to have some separation, but if you're trying to meet zoofurs it can be harder to do that on an alt.

Just be careful with what you share and with who.
