Thinking that of yourself doesn't indicate conceit at all. It indicates you have a skill or knowledge from which other people can benefit, and that you possibly have the desire to share it, thereby enriching them and/or bringing them enjoyment, as well as yourself in the process.

I'm a really good bowler. Not one of the best in the world. But easily one of the best in my social circles. I average 212, and threw my first 300 game last year.

Thank-you for noticing. I'm pretty much a "positive realist." Positivity keeps our spirits up and prevents us from quitting while we chip away at the problems.

Definitely makes me appear smart often lol. A solid base of random knowledge is good for conversations, since I can discuss most topics with some depth! Except brain surgery, I ain't no brain surgeon :p

That's an important trait...it would tend to make people feel very good around you.
 
Like some have said I'm definitely above average when it comes to listening. I was a really good teacher and was in the top 8% in my field in the UK.
