So far it's not too bad, although Saturdays can be a giant crapshoot. Me, I'm more of an early fall/late summer kinda guy. Basically when the weather reaches that sweet spot of not too hot but not too cool. I would also say the same thing for spring, but the allergies that come with it ruin it for me.
What do you do for work again (in the most general sense)? It's weird that its spring for most people but my sinus issues are always the worst in the fall.
I work in a business related field doing highly technical and fairly specialized office work for a mega corporation. Aka, I'm a glorified white collar paper pusher. Lol
Oh okay, yeah I can understand that. Sounds like work is not to brutal on your body but might be numbing to the soul. Thankfully dogs are good for bringing us back.
It can definitely be mind numbing and frustrating at times, especially considering that I'm very good at what I do and I often find myself fixing other people's mistakes. But it pays fairly well, well enough to put me in lower middle class living, a class that's rapidly dying out unfortunately.
It certainly feels like manual labor sometimes but no I’m basically a keyboard warrior. Taking code that doesn’t work and changing it to stuff that does. It definitely has its perks for sure but it can be stressful and burnout is very high in my industry.
Ah, so a programmer I presume? If so, yeah... that can definitely be quite mind numbing. Same here, burnout is high where I work as well, as well as a high turnover rate or a high number of lateral moving.
Yeah, it’s weird you start climbing the ladder and you dream of the one job where you get the shiny things. Then you get there and it’s not all it turned out to be. Thankfully though it’s not bad and it affords lots of opportunities but it’s easy to lose your head.
A poor man sits in traffic on his way to work in his beat up 1991 Honda Civic with the facial expression of ?. He notices a man in a $100,000 Mercedes sitting in the same traffic also with the facial expression of ?. Sometimes the job we hope to eventually climb the latter to get doesn't bring us anymore happiness.
I did not! Also the Korean part I only know because I used to live near a Korea Town when I was bouncing around different states. I have always wanted to learn.
EDIT: Do you prefer being called Floofy because my brain always associates you with Newfies and I want to keep calling you Newfie but I don't want to offend.
