McDonalds offers tea?! That's something new. Last I checked there was coffee, which tasted like my dishwashing water filtered through seven day long used socks.
Huh, maybe it's just an American thing? Sweet southern style tea is one of their most popular drinks here. Although don't let @ShanoirII know that you're dissing his favorite coffee........ whoop! Lol

Good question - tea is at least -very- rarely bought over here at McD., if they offer it at all - even at the "breakfast times" where there are no burgers available in some regions. Might be a 9 to 1 coffee-tea-ratio at mornings and a 50 to 1 soda ratio compared to coffee and tea over the remaining day.

The coffee is differing between countries and even franchise sub companies. It's not tasting the same all over the world. Our fast food chain coffee in Germany is "acceptable for a stop somewhere", but it's nowhere good, really. The American McD. coffee I had three or four times, was at least not worse than in Germany.

"Dishwashing water" might be over the top, but it's on one level with instant-coffee of medium quality, somewhat. At least here. ?‍♂️

But I don't regularly eat at fast food chains. Last visit was 3 to 4 months in the past.

Usually if I brew my own tea I'll go with Uncle Lee's Organic Tea in tea bags. The only other tea I like more is freshly brewed Gold Peek tea, but as far as I know only restaurants/cafes have access to it. Though their pre-made tea is the best pre-made tea you can buy in my opinion.

The tea I drink most of the time is surely self-brewed. That works fine everywhere and tastes well, even without sugar. ?(y)
I like to drink it almost at boiling temp (maybe 75-80°C) as well.

It's either loose leaf tea or loose crunched ingredients, very rarely tea bags (I use disposable "tea bags" which fit the amount of at least 10 usual tea bags, as such it's more recycling friendly to fill those with the amount needed for a big cup of tea).

Well... as an American I definitely like my tea sweet. Lol. Most of the time I get my tea pre-made in a bottle though. Typically either Gold Peak or Pure Leaf. Typically a 1.89L of that will last me a whole week, as I use it as a "pick me up" once my lunch break is over at work, and I don't have a lot of time to brew it fresh. Although, I guess I could just brew enough for a whole week, and keep it in the refrigerator.

Sweet teas are fine, but I don't like much refined sugar in them. If it needs carbohydrate-loaden sweets, then honey and a little rock sugar with steviolglycosides as the main sweetening aspect, as it is carbohydrate free (almost, due to intensity and lower amount needed).

Two liters for a week, that's a fine amount for "in-between" and I guess then it's no problem to buy it "ready to use".

My morning starts often with almost a liter of tea and there might be another one at the evening, as such it would cost quite a sum I guess. Not to talk about the main problem right now: water freezes. :ROFLMAO:

As such I have to keep it either expandable in a bag compared to a hard-shell encasing (which both only keeps line water well for 2-3 days without bacteria building up (if not frozen)) or non-expandable at > 0°C.

And if I would prepare the tea beforehand, it would get as cool as an ice tea, as such not much enjoyment together with freshly toasted food (teeth don't like the difference of around 40°C). As such I often boil it fresh and just let it cool the two to six minutes it takes. Adding freshly squeezed lemon juice is a fine way as well.

Oh, if I would leave black tea in water for more than 8 to 10 minutes at max. (usual are 2 to 5 minutes for me), then it gets unhealthy and veeery bitter. :ROFLMAO:

Hello beloved MareFloofer! ???

Had some overly brewed 45 minute black tea but it tasted non-consumable. Would be somewhat toxic as well.

Black tea is about all I drink. Green tea is... eh.. okay. The dandelion tea I made one time was not very good unfortunately. I actually wanted to like it since it's literally an abundant weed that I can pick from my back yard. I typically use just use pure cane sugar to sweeten mine, although I could see both honey or even a bit of molasses as good sweeteners as well. ...............Dang it! Now I'm kinda curious about molasses! Lol. I think I might give it a shot tomorrow and see if it works as well as I'm picturing it to taste in my head.
