I am going to be completely honest and say that having factual arguments to persuade people to not trying to do it was my biggest motivation.

"Be careful, they are very big and strong" just seemed to make them want to try it even more.

As you said, "people will be people" (not exactly how you put it, but you know what I mean), so maybe I should just not bother about it.

That's true.. but no matter what you tell them, they might try it out. The "why?" can't be answered logically.

You could tell them that a full 1,5 liter PET bottle on a "jumping jack" rammer / compactor equals the possible kinetic energy enforced on their cavity and that the human tissue doesn't withstand such an impact if taken in full force. As such it would make limitation of the movement abilities of the horse a must-have and this would be binding / chaining which is cruel to the animals. ?‍♂️

That's over-exaggeration and not a 100% true claim, yes. Because those tools are neither that flexible, nor organic.

But it should at least give a visual image which might.. lead those people to first try it with an empty 1,5 liter bottle (not made from glass!) beforehand and leave the rammer / compactor at the hardware store. ?‍♂️

At least the bottle is quite comparable to the diameter. Lengthwise a horse even overdoes this one easily.

Yes, I have a feeling this would be a lost cause if I tried that crusade.

Even when being very factual in a couple of "kennel fantasy" threads where I explained the risks involved, many were just "That's sooo hot" and I did not manage to make a single one of those leg-humper's to think with their brain instead of their sex-organ, even for an instant.

FYI, getting in all worked up and "present yourself" in a growded small area with a bunch of male dogs "teased" with the scent of a bitch in prime heat is NOT a good idea, especially without an established pack order between dogs that know each other very well.
But, I think most readers here are not rookies unaware of such.

That's a good way to start paying a monthly small fee of > 1200,00 € to a friendly veterinary to stitch those poor male dogs together with their more-or-less loosely attached body parts afterwards and to cure their bite-related infections. ?‍♂️

Almost as good as the idea some of the female owners of very small dogs have.
Carrying a small dog around 99% of the time, never training him (rarely her) to behave. As "it is such cute" if that small dog gnaws on ones trouser legs. Then placing him (rarely her..) in a group of 6 times as big and 8 times as heavy (at least) dogs on a "dog park" or comparable, where those active dogs actually know each other.

It's not that rare that the female owner afterwards orders quite an expensive little sarcophagus for the remains.

Placing a bunch of unknown to each other male dogs right near a female dog in heat or even just a female human with such pheromone scent around could as well end deadly for the smaller dogs in this group.
