If the service was exceptional I might tip a little more than 20%, but even if the service was pretty bad I still tend to tip around 15% because you never know, it might have just been a very bad day for that server. I can't really recall a time when I've received absolutely horrible service though.
I think the worse service I can recall was with a waitress that was super inattentive. I kept waiting for them to come by to refill my drink and after like 20 minutes of waiting and not seeing the waitress at all I just got up and asked for a refill at the bar itself. Even then, that's not all that bad.
