I feel ya. Basically I don't have a ton of time on my lunch break, so it's easier to just throw something in the microwave. As for fast food I try to limit myself to once every 1 to 2 weeks. Not only is it unhealthy it's really not worth the price anymore. What used to be a $7.29 meal now usually costs $11.80. ?

My lunch break is an hour long (unpaid.) But I like to sneak in a little 20-25 minute nap. I also have to take my girls for a walk, prepare their food (which normally takes about 5 minute), and I have to make food for myself. Tossing something in the microwave to have a hot meal is just more convenient. But I do try to have one real meal a day that I've actually cooked/baked myself.

I remember the days when a single quarter pounder and cheese, medium fries, and a soda was like $7.29 at McDonald's. That same meal is now like $11.80. While it tastes good, for $11.80 I could grill a 1/2 lb ribeye steak, have a nice broccoli and cheese side dish, and have a nice bottle of crisp cold apple soda to go along with it and I'd likely still have a few dimes left over.
