I figured It'd be a bit of a pain in the ass to maintain. Plenty of threads get deleted if too many posts violate the rules, etc.

Indeed indeed. I mean on average I probably delete close to 15-25 posts a day, often including entire threads in some cases. So it only becomes a matter of time before one of your posts get nuked. Sometimes someone will request their thread to be deleted, sometimes someone has broken so many rules that it's easier to just nuke the entire user once I notice them.

I understand that. I am very impulsive and get fixed ideas all the time but really don't have the patience to follow through with every stupid "this will be fun" thought I get.
Especially not when others start to mess with my count because of all the shitload of off topic I have posted gets deleted.
