I guess that depends as well. Something I've noticed more recently is the "Napalm records" sound as well. It's kind of hard to describe in words, but a lot of newer metal bands are all following the exact same formula and sound with their music. And... kudos for Napalm Records for keeping metal alive in a time of corporate pop and hip-hop, but many of the newer metal bands are also following a "corporate sound" as well.
