I love jumping wolf spiders. my fave.
Yeah, there's basically 3 types of spiders that I don't really kill on sight. Jumping wolf spiders (since it's basically like having a dedicated bug hunter in your house, and they leave you alone), tiny bathroom spiders (since they're good at catching gnats and mosquitos), and daddy long legs (harmless, and good at catching small bugs). All other spiders though either get squashed or flushed down the drain/toilet.

Well with jumping wolf spiders they generally do tend to stay in plain view. Normally they'll crawl on the walls or on the ceiling. The thing is that they really want nothing to do with you at all and will try to move away from you. Pretty much the only thing they want is to eat all the bugs in your house. And since they eat Japanese stink bugs I'm willing to let them be. There's been several times when my newfie girl has inadvertently stepped on or laid on one of those stink bugs, and it makes her and the whole room smell like rotting moldy wood. But the jumping wolf spiders kill them cleanly as far as I can tell. No smell.

I swear I'm not secretly a jumping wolf spider in disguise! Lol

Ok, now I'm starting to wonder...

We don't really have spiders like that here (thank god) otherwise I would have run away screaming to Antarctica lol. It's funny because barn spiders never bothered me, but that's only because horses took my attention off of them.

I knew you'd come Dane, you just needed a little persuasion! Lol

My experience with them is that if you let them be, they'll leave you alone and take care of the bugs that annoy me. I never really interacted with one. It's kind of a symbiotic relationship of sorts... you kill the annoying bugs in my house, I'll let you live in my nice indoor climate controlled environment! Win-win! Lol
