Hmm... perhaps it's time to switch to another VPN server then. I decided to renew my subscription of NordVPN and it's been really down hill here lately. I've been having to switch servers 1 or 2 times a day. Even if you don't have Nord, they often share the same servers with other VPNs.
I notice it a lot with YouTube. I know I have really good internet connection, yet often I'm buffering at 480p which is ridiculous. I'll switch the server and then Boom! 1080p video with no problem.

my biggest problem with youtube is that it thinks tor is suspicious, so it makes me do a captcha, and then doesnt let me in even after i finish the captcha. and sometimes it doesnt even give me a captcha at all, and just basically says "no".
so i have to make a new identity until one finally works.
Indeed. Before investing in a VPN I used to use TOR a bit as well. Many sites don't like it. I'll get the captchas every once in awhile on my VPN, but usually switching to a different server solves that. Even if I don't it'll only ask me for the captcha once and then it's usually good for many hours.

ive kind of left tor behind as well. for two and a half years it was my main browser, but now i only really use it once in a while for specific purposes.
for instance, looking at the furaffinity onion site, which cannot be done easily by normal browser.
