I'd have loved to see that, but it doesn't surprise me. Water rescue in the frigid lakes of Newfoundland and Labrador Canada was actually what they were bred to do. They're one of the few dogs that will swim with a stroke instead of a doggy paddle. They're wonderful swimmers!@FloofyNewfie I went diving at the lake today and someone brought out a boat and a bunch of Newfies and was training them in water rescue.

Actually I have not yet. I've been meaning to buy a plastic kiddy pool for her but haven't gotten around to it yet.@FloofyNewfie have you taken your newfie swimming? I took my mate out recently and actually got her to swim out a ways, it was pretty cool.
