Prices have dropped significantly but i paid around $1800 for mine. I think it's still around $1000-1200 though.

In my defense I've been playing on one console or another for over four decades, so a controller feels perfectly normal anymore ?

And I can't complain about the power or graphics with the X, it's a pretty impressive piece of equipment.
