It is not cheap to get your dog back if they're caught without registration. What's worse, depending on where you live, you may not be given a choice about certain surgeries.

The rules are stupid but not following them would be more so.

We do microchips too but they go in the back of the neck. Tags can save a lot of trouble though, I've got more than one dog back to their homes thanks to contact details on their tags.

Meh, you'd think it's obvious? Welcome to the land of WARNING: Microwave popcorn will be hot when you take it out of the microwave after cooking. Although, if you know what you're looking for, a spayed female will be pretty obvious as well. Namely, an incision scar. If they were spayed before their first heat, they'll have a very small vulva for the rest of their life.
