I read the bottom part of your post. I've never been close to horses but it seems like they may take a lot of upkeep and work. It seems impressive to me that you have multiple horses that you have bred and raised by yourself.

Kinda went overboard when I was younger with my love of horses, started breeding and raising them not only for myself but for others and to sell. It's definitely a ton of work having horses in general but it's a labor of love for me.
