Ah Son, I don't think you were here for the great ? war of 2021 with Nothing. The guy started spamming everyone he disliked with angry reacts, but heck, even random people were getting angry reactions. All in all he probably spammed close to 12,000 of them over a few days. So the simplest solution was to make the minimum amount of posts 10 counted posts on the forum because it was rare for Nothing to get to 10 counted posts before getting caught and banned.

The second restriction we have is limiting PM functionality to 10 posts on the forum. That one was partially Nothing's fault, but mostly due to a bot issue we were having where bots were creating accounts and spamming users with shady links. Luckily we figured out how to stop that one, but we kept the restriction anyways.

The third restriction is sending pictures/videos via PM other than linked media. Once you hit 150 you can sent people pictures/videos. This one was due to a giant pedo/sadism ring that someone blew the whistle on. There were many lurkers and tourists sending that crap, and since we cannot see people's PMs, we didn't know about it until someone blew the whistle.

The fourth restriction is limiting indefinite post edits to 150 counted posts. Once you reach 150 posts you're able to edit/delete your posts for as long as you want. Unfortunately this was another one that we initiated due to Nothing. He was editing his posts and posting doxing information as well as pictures/videos of gore and violence. He'd post regularly for while, then turn around and edit all of his posts. There was also a few non-Nothing related reasons for implementing this restriction as well.

So each restriction has its own purpose, and reason for being implemented on the forum.

Wow! This place has a lot of history. I didn't know about the great ? war, probably because I joined in late 2021, but I might have seen traces of it. Now I have to get 150 posts so I can edit my silly comment on how silly the restrictions are. Thank you for enlightening me.

I remember that one. How many ? did you get? A couple of thousand wasn't it? I got away from that whole incident with just one.

I remember that one too. I really wish I didn't.
