3086 We can't have the schools teaching the kids that humans and animals can't make any offspring. "You can't impregnate an animal, so feel free to have all the guiltless sex you'd like with them. Just make sure they're happy." wouldn't look too good on dean's shoulders! Parents would be up in arms! Lol

3087 lol it wouldnt have to go like that boi you could just say the reason that meiotically-reproducing organisms that are too genetically distant from eachother cant produce offspring because their chromosome splitting and trading between the egg and sperm would get messed up. then you would show students the chromosome counts of different animals, and show that those with similar counts like lions&tigers or buffalo&cows could hybridize, but those who are genetically distant like kangaroos&bears cannot have kids. just have the human chromosome count on that list and kids will figure it out for themselves lol :ROFLMAO:

3089 oh come on boi we gotta be mature enough to handle sexual topics in the biology class. :p the biology class cant avoid sex, cuz sex is literally how a huge portion of new animal, plant, and fungal life even comes into existence. if the biology class cant touch on that, its like theyre talking about the legs of a table without mentioning the surface of the table and everything it is holding. considering sex is the main drive for a ton of diverse biological functions, youd have to be leaving a lot if not most stuff unexplained lol.

and what % of students, do you estimate, would be considering giving the doggo the nut ?

that takes me back to memories of my highscool biology class. i had a teacher who was really theatrical and would always delve into examples of concepts and give analogies. when it came time to talk about sexual reproduction, mitosis and meiosis and the like, he began talking about the various "difficulties" of sexual reproduction. He mentioned the usual - being too genetically distant, having a physical blockade appear between two groups, having a female prefer males with certain features, etc....
and then we got around to what he called "mechanical difficulties"
as he put it, "some parts just dont fit some places". for his example, he invoked a large male great dane and a small female chihuahua. you could tell there was tension behind his voice lol, that was an interesting class and his personality made it even moreso
