I find the line between Furries and Zoophiles very narrow and very cringe. I see people fantasize about drawings of huge animal cocks but to say that someone can feel this thing for real animals disgusts him, I don't get it. this line makes me even more uncomfortable when the drawings really represent only zoophilic fantasies..
I know right? i remember this kind of arguing taking place in many sites. And it's sorta hipocrital if you think about it. But well, i respect people's POV's and i know many have their reasons to dislike certain things, but when they just speak for others or well try only to judge and not give a reason of why they think the way they think... it makes you wonder what's through their minds.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But then, talking about the topic, i don't think they really have a connection as the focus is nos the certain anatomy features, but the whole concept... but then again, then the whole term furry became more and more wide and they didn't only focus on anthros, but ferals as well, and then the whole idea got it's strike on people.
I really do think there's not a connection between the two concepts as they focus on different stuff, zoo is pretty much sex-related and furries may be or not be sexual and they've got the focus on the characters than the sexual aspect, but then again, we're on the internet, right? porn is certainly everywhere as it sells, it draws attention, so it'll be almost everywhere in the cyberspace as long as it's allowed, which makes that it's pretty much common to relate Furry = Porn and since furries's nature is "weird" to many, it only ends up being "weird porn" and it's understandable most people only get that "part" of the whole thing, and as zoo is pretty much sexual they can get confused, yup.
Ps: I know that zoo is a more "deep" term and that it can have love, feelings, etc, but to come clearly, the most "defining" aspect at least to many people that "don't empathise" with us is only the sexual aspect
