well i mean, if you could always interrupt the current pyramid and get one going, the pyramid is still young lol.
(there are so many emotes like the haha and lmfao ones that i use reflexively that i need to be cautious of now)

hmmm.... maybe, if there have been five or more posts after the mistaken post, and the mistake has still not been caught, they should restart if the mistake is pointed out. this would, however, have the consequence of leaving the game at a stand-still until someone edits their post, but the pyramid could always be restarted (its not that tedious to remake usually).
if one person is under by 1 emote, but the next person adds 2 to their post to correct for it while the mistake remains, it would still seem iffy because it wouldnt be a symmetrical pyramid, which is the goal of the game

yeah, i was kinda worried about the game getting too complicated lol! its just, as more situations come up, ive gotta add more precedents. at least the premise is relatively simple

Unless they're on mobile, which I am right now. If I try to highlight just the emoji my dumbass phone selects it like a picture instead of piece of text. I have to zoom all the way into the period, highlight it, then use the sliders to highlight the rest of the text before I can copy it.

emotes only count if they are read as a code that makes the site produce an image from the emotes list
image files pasted from other places and text emoticons do not count.
but be very careful with ones like the colon + parentheses which automatically make a smiley face emote
