she knows your seed and demandsMy golden retriever girl is the exact same. If I’m on the computer she will literally stare at me and do really long stretches until I see her then say ”you wanna fuck?” And when she hears that she runs up and down the hallway then right on my bed since she knows that’s where she gets what she wants lol.
Well said and agreed!I don’t know your definition of romantic but animals really build strong emotional bonds with their partners. They cuddle you, sleep with you, are protective of you, know when you are sad and tries to make you feel better. So in my opinion I think they are pretty romantic.
Of course that animals are romantic. I have a dog medium size who is unfortunately neutered. I got him from the shelter. He comes to me , wants to be nice to me , licks my face, etcThank you for entering this thread!
I’ve been zoo exclusive for a few years, but a lot of the time I find myself very insecure and unsure about whether or not being with an animal could be… romantic, I guess. I’ve never been with a human before and I don’t intend to, but I always convince myself that it just wouldn’t work because they can’t speak, can’t perform human tasks, etc etc - and that it wouldn’t be anything more than just interspecies mating.
My question is, can animals (specifically dogs, but open to others) be romantic?
At least, is there anything more than just a mild social connection or just unromantic sex?
I have no experience being with an animal so hopefully someone can enlighten me on how it works and if the animal can show deeper affection. Please let me know! Romantic
(I’m M/M btw if that changes anything)

I read where if they push up against you, it's a sign that they love you or feel strongly about you, my dog does that and will flop over and want belly rubs. They absolutely can. They may not fully comprehend the topic of romance but they absolutely can show sweet wonderful affection. After my boy and I mate and he licks himself down he will crawl up beside me and not just lay against me but press his body into my chest and roll upside down exposing his sheath and chest to me so I can pet him.
Granted it comes from him being satisfied and happy from our mating session but he will drift to sleep in that position and just stay by my side almost up to a full hour after our mating.
There is definitely some comprehension of love, affection, romance, what have you
We have a strong bond, like best buddies. I would assume that it's love. because I would do anything to protect her from harm.Sounds like the two of you are falling in Love! That's Sweet AF!!!

Affection yes, making the difference between love and affection? Extremely unlikely
