there's no way for you to get it "at reasonable price" or in any shape or form to make it usable "while playing around"... not that you'd get past the "well, show us the records of the female you want to use it with" part... you know, it's only sold for breeding purposes

You can't just ship "semen". It doesn't maintain the same consistency for very long since semen is obviously not meant to be stored or transported. To ship semen you separate the sperm rich fraction from the other goo and mix it into an extender. The extender has nutrients and stuff to preserve the sperm. What comes in the box for AI isn't really close to semen at all.
Also no there is not and never will be anywhere to buy animal semen unless you are breeding something.

You can purchase just about any animal's semen, but usually you need some sort of reason for purchase and or a license and even if you could somehow fake that, it's obscenely expensive, because they don't ship all of it, it's filtered so most of the semen is gone, and it's mostly concentrated sperm.
