safe for people. used it for years with my girls, and she'd clean up us both after. I found it had just the right amount of drag she'd enjoy, (friction plays a roll, some like more, some like less)
if with a male pup you won't need to worry about this aspect, but for guys with a woofy girl that enjoys both her ports serviced, I kept two well marked bottles, one strictly for cookie and the other for tail hole to ensure no cross contamination
