I only adopted my cat because he was going to be put down for being too aggressive and I felt I could do something for him. When I visited him, I was warned that he will attack me but when I got to him I pretended I wasn't there to say hi to him and sat facing away from him for about 10 mins and he was alright if not growly hahaha.. anyway, eventually I opened the cage and half climbed in and he wasn't the happiest, but he was also rather calm and eventually fell asleep. Next day, I had a excitable, snuggly, purring, cuddly buddy and it's been 5 years. He doesn't have long left and I can't picture him gone. Even when I'm playing videogames he sits next to me, when I'm out of the house he watches from the window for me to return and at night he must be laying against me
My other cat though, solitude is her favourite!
Every cat is different, but you will find the different ways they desire connection to be half the adventure.
Attached is a photo of first cat on my desk!
