We can bark if you want to! In this episode, hosts Fausty and Toggle are joined by Kyon for an off-the-cuff discussion about safety in the zoo community!

Thoughts About the Episode
This episode was a ton of fun, until disaster struck. We had some sort of technical issue while recording, and all of my audio from our original session was completely unsalvageable! So I literally had to go back and rerecord all my impromptu, unscripted lines! Don't worry, though! This rat is a professional, though I fear some bits may be unintelligible to some extent, because I was listening to my trashed recordings and speaking what was spoken at the same time. Still, way better than the alternative.
I got to touch on some basic online safety tips as well, which is particularly relevant as I've just created a brand-new, zooey twitter account. God help me.
I really think there's some valuable things being discussed in this episode, even beyond basic safety, including the echo-chamber of anti-zoo twitter.
What did you think of the episode, folks? Let me know in the comments!

This episode, the boys interview Doodle Donkey, horse whisperer and zoo-exclusive podcast listener! Also, find out what was so Great about Alexander, delve into the ethics of fence hopping, and celebrate the diversity of zooey lifestyles!

Thoughts About the Episode
I've gotten to meet a lot of amazing people since starting this podcast, and this episode, we got to interview one of them: ZooVille's own Doodle Donkey. He's really an amazing dude! We also got to dig into the history books and unearth an actual zooey relationship for our Secret Zoo segment this time, which was kind of cool! This turned out to be a very horse-centric episode, by pure happenstance, but it kind of makes for a cohesive narrative tool.
One last thing: we got to share one of my most favorite e-mails we've ever gotten. Hearing from you guys about the positive impact our little podcast has had on your lives really makes me feel incredible.

Join Fausty, Toggle, and Kyon for the first annual Zoo Pride celebration! Our hosts ask the community about the meaning of zoo pride, share some zooey limericks, and enjoy good zooey times with good zooey friends.

Thoughts About the Episode
Honestly, I had so much fun making this episode. I knew when we finished recording it was probably going to be one of the best episodes yet, because there's really something a little subversive about zoos having as much fun being zoos as we were having making this episode. I'm happy with this one, and I don't think we could have had a better first annual Zoo Pride celebration together. Special thanks to all the community members who sent in audio for our Zoo Pride segment! We love you all so much!

In this special episode, Kyon fills in as guest host while Fausty's on a secret mission, Zooey helps a dog facing the horrors of Breed-Specific Legislation, and we debate the hottest topic on the zoo scene: Zooey, or Zooish?

Thoughts About the Episode
Doing this episode without Fausty was probably the scariest thing I've had to do so far with regards to this podcast. Fausty can usually come in behind me and really keep the vision clear and focused, in his overly-verbose way. Thank Dog for Kyon, who happens to be very similar to Fausty in a lot of ways, for generally being willing to just do whatever when it comes to helping with the podcast. Still, I'm irrationally worried that I've guided this episode incorrectly without someone to temper my clouded judgement. It just sort of highlights how much I rely on Fausty to steer the ship, even when I'm keeping the sails in the wind.

This week, our intrepid hosts talk about the weird website issues at zoo.wtf, and then take a deep dive into the ZooTT mailbag, musing over a lot of zooey themes in this off-the-cuff episode.

Thoughts About the Episode
We had quite a doosy of a holiday weekend, with the site literally being deleted for several days. It was kind of devastating at the time, but now we have a good laugh at how absurd it was.
I decided to give myself a bit less work and try to do this episode "Fausty style," or in other words, without a script. Since we had a ton of mail, it seemed like a good time to give it a whirl, and I have to say, I think the discussions we had with regards to the e-mails we received were hearty and substantial. We're not sure if going off the cuff is the right way to do it every time.

S1E3. Our Best Selves
This week, we take a more positive turn and focus on being the best we can be, featuring an interview with Zoo Pride Day founder and ZooVille administrator ZT Horse, a $10,000 secret, and a brand new Ask Zooey segment!

Thoughts About the Episode
Episode 3 seems like a great place to start a blog here on ZooVille because of the overtly positive nature of the episode. Our interview with ZT Horse was extremely enjoyable and really set the tone for the whole show. I feel like this episode really captured the essence of what it means to be our best zooey selves.
Edit 10/31/19: This was the first blog post we ever posted on ZooVille! From here on out, I'll be re-uploading the previous blog posts.
Let me know if you agree in the comments!

An update from the dark places our podcast took us down over the past two weeks. It's an ugly mess, but we try to lay it out and make sense of it.

Thoughts About the Episode
I have a lot of bad memories associated with this episode. I remember there were times I couldn't keep my eyes closed to sleep, because every time I tried, images of animals being tortured to death would flash across my eyelids. I think this was a super important episode, but I don't really like to think about it too much.
Fausty was very, very vocal in lashing out on social media. This stuff really consumed every waking moment of that two-week period.
We were able to do some important things, though, and get the info about torturers into the hands of people who could actually do something. This is always kind of stewing behind the scenes. The work isn't finished. But we haven't stopped working on it.
Feel free to comment on this episode. I don't really want to linger here too long.

Join us for an extra long episode covering everything from zoosadism to bestiality brothels. Uncover a secret zoo conspiracy right under your nose!

Thoughts About the Episode
I remember Fausty calling me one day completely incensed. The proposed topic for this episode gave me pause. I felt this might be too hot to touch, but after the bombshell that had been plopped in Fausty's lap, we knew we had to tackle it. What we didn't know at the time is that we were kicking a hornet's nest of a completely different type. What would follow in the two weeks after airing this episode would test me in ways I didn't expect.
At the time, this episode was SUPER long, but we felt the topic necessitated our time and attention. To balance it out, though, we had a great skit about bestiality brothels, and a really silly conspiracy theory Secret Zoo. There are a lot of little gems in this one.

Join us for a special half-episode where we talk about the public reaction to our first episode and make fun of Fausty's fake voice!

Thoughts About the Episode
The original plan was to do a quick follow-up episode to the first, and then to post a half-hour episode once a month, the idea being that having some extra content up front would help retain interest and viewership, as well as show that what we had begun wasn't some one-off stunt. ZooTT was here to stay! So, this is how the ".5" nomenclature began, with a one-off bonus episode that wasn't meant to kick off any sort of trend.
Originally, Fausty wanted to release the podcast on April Fools Day, but I thought that was a little too on the nose, so we chose the first full moon BEFORE April Fools Day for our release, with a plan to update every full moon, and then release the follow-up on April Fools.
This was really just a fun bonus episode that was a blast to do. I pine for the days of simple, 15-30 minute podcasts. These two hour behemoths take a LOT of work!
What do you think about where the podcast has gone from it's humble beginnings? Let me know in the comments!

Our first episode exposes to the whole world exactly who zoophiles are and what sorts of terrible shenanigans they've been up to!
_________________________
Thoughts About the Episode
Ahh, the inaugural episode! The excitement building up to this release was intense! We ran a guerrilla ad campaign in which we posed as an anti-zoo podcast, bent on exposing zoos for what they really are! One thing I insisted upon is that every single post we made was absolutely, one-hundred percent true, only misleading in tone. Yes, we did intend to expose zoos for what they really are!
The icing on the cake is that we actually pulled the wool over the bigots' eyes! One major player on twitter at the time revealed their plans to infiltrate the twitter zoo community, and when the episode dropped, they basically disappeared from the scene.
On the other hand, despite making an effort to be over the top and not be threatening to any real zoos, some were intimidated by our charade, so that was kind of a bummer.
Still, a strong premiere, for sure, with a great, focused script and advice on dog blowjobs!
Were you around for The Exposure Solution campaign? What were your thoughts? Let me know in the comments!
