ZooVille Title/Ranking System

This is a question that gets asked VERY often on here, and it's not like it's some obscure secret that nobody is supposed to know about. So I figured I'd start this thread so that anytime anyone is curious about ZooVille's ranking/title system, it can be referenced.

Your rank is based off of post count the majority of the time, exceptions will be listed below the table.

Posts Count:
Ranking/Title:
0-9
Lurker
10-149
Tourist
150-249
ZooVille Settler
250-999
Citizen of ZooVille
1,000-4,999
Esteemed Citizen of ZV
5,000-9,999
Prized Citizen of ZV
10,000+
Supreme Citizen of ZV

*Fun & Games, Profile posts, and I believe posts in any Groups in the groups tab: DO NOT count towards your post count.

EXCEPTIONS:
  • If you donate $50 or more in BTC you will receive the title "ZooVille Philanthropist" For more information about that (Click Here)
  • Soon, we plan to have a "Dumpster Diver" status given to 3 people 1 person a year if you primarily post in the dumpster fire section. For more information about that (Click Here)
  • Moderator and Administrator privileges. We are able to set our own custom title, if we so choose. However, "Moderator" and "Administrator" are the default titles for staff members here depending on our role.
  • Update: We've also added a "Neighborhood Watcher" moderator role. Which are moderators with a couple less capabilities than a regular moderator.
As far as I'm aware, there's nothing past the rank/title of Supreme Citizen of ZV.

If you wish to move up in the ranks get to post... post... posting! Your rank is one thing, but your likes have to be earned! Unless you just repost other people's pornographic material. Lol

You should include that posts in Fun & Games don't count towards you total (Dumpster Fire really shouldn't either by the way).

True. Fun & Games, Profile posts, and I believe posts in any Groups in the groups tab: DO NOT count towards your post count. However the likes and positive reactions still count towards your reaction score.

Although, I don't see any reason for why the Dumpster Fire shouldn't count. There are plenty of legitimate discussions to be had in there (even if it gets a bit toxic sometimes.) Unless your goal is to try and lure people away from the allure of burning hot garbage by not making it count?

Edit: Edited original post.

I think there should be a poll to see if posts in the fun and games should count.
It used to be that way, and it essentially made the title system worthless. You could go from Lurker to a Citizen in a few hours.

Name a state?
"Delaware."
Count to 10,000.
"387."
What's the last thing you drank?
"Pepsi."
What's the last thing you ate?
"Hot pocket."
What's the last movie you watched?
"Spiderman."
Would you have a beer with the user above you?
"Yes."

So on and so forth....

Users would spam these Fun & Games threads as soon as they joined. You'd see someone that joined 2 days ago having the title "Citizen of ZooVille." Only the check their profile and realize it was gained by 95% 1 or 2 word answers in Fun & Games section. So the admins put a stop to that.

sorry if this is a dumb question, but is there a way to see how many posts youve already made?
