The triangular shape is just visually appealing to me, closely followed by the horizontal slit.
Normally I think the cloaca would resemble the horizontal slit but when the animal is aroused it opens up to the triangle. You can see inside a little bit and I find that sexy. It is inviting.

I think they're all nice and variety is good. I've never seen triangular in nature though. It's pretty much limited to horizontal/vertical for reptiles and circular for birds, but maybe dinos had their own thing sometimes, and triangular is a very attractive shape. Nice to fantasize about.

Though the Psittacosaurus lived 126 and 101 million years ago and it was not of the typical raptor like type.
Deinonychus lived 115–108 million years ago but even nowadays there are differences in genitals between species. So this might not be what the raptor like cloaca looked like.
I do not know where the hole is there to be honest.
Scientists should take some lessons from the yiff artists. We want to see it all.
I personally find the vertical and horizontal to be the most attractive. Most particularly vertical because it is the same slit for females as well as males and I love the thought of all their goodies being inside. Like you have said their slit would be subjected to so much petting and pawing and tonguing and kissing regardless of their gender and I wouldn't mind giving them as deep a taste of my humanity as possible, if you know what I mean.
I think the shape stays the same for males and females regardless of whether it is horizontal or vertical actually.
Maybe you could reach inside a male and pull the penis out or even have some internal frottage with him
