Do you think people are finally starting to be a little more comfortable openly engaging in bestiality?

There was a crappy comedy film that came out a few years ago about millennials and one of the characters asks a question. "What do you think will be the defining social movement of our time? Like the gay acceptance movement was for Gen X." Another character blurts out "bestiality!"

That got me thinking. I'm seeing a lot of faces in the videos posted here. People are a bit more brazen about talking about it online. Could there maybe be a cultural shift slowly underway?

What do you think?

I honestly don't know.
In the past I'd say it was just too obscure to be noticed. And when it was noticed it was more like an oddity and maybe less target for harassment.
Today, with a broader audience knowing people like us are existing, it's much easier to be targeted and draw in forms of collective hate.
Additionally, overall the laws in the world significantly worsened for us
Although I think the overall hightend awareness of us existing by regular people may be a chance for a broad dialogue, so far I only have witnessed the worsening of our standing.

I agree with you. The fight for rights and acceptance for any population is a push and pull. The more aware the general public is, the more the laws clamp down. Then, once the laws are enacted, the more that population works to get them changed or repealed.

Though I assume that for something as taboo as this, it will be difficult to find people willing to be so out in the open as to challenge these laws without facing some significant violence.

As long as most people see it as a fetish, it won't ever see mainstream acceptance. What I mean is, there are a lot of people here that only see this as a sex thing. And that alone makes it hard to talk about in public. It's like homosexuality in the 80's (probably other times too, that's just how far back my memory goes) - you couldn't talk about it in public without people mentally picturing the act and becoming disgusted. It wasn't seen as a relationship, it was seen as a kink or a perversion. The Village People, men in leather chaps and all that. But now, the focus has shifted away from the explicitly sexual aspects of the relationship and toward the companionship and partnership aspects. In my pinion, a lot of that has stemmed from a shift in how homosexuality has been portrayed in tv and movies. It might a chicken and egg thing, but I think that the media shift started the greater cultural shift toward acceptance. The people who are most accepting of homosexuality grew up watching these shows and movies where it's just considered normal. Maybe the same could happen for beastiality. Anybody know any tv writers/producers?

So it hast to get worse, before it's going to be better ? Don't know if that can be applied as a generalized rule in that case.. but social history has some examples like this, I think.

Interesting take and I do agree.

Well if you want a Gen Z guy's take, no, we're definitely not at the point where people will be openly and proudly parading it in public without fear of judgement. However, I do see a lot more people my age either joking about it or discussing how they're curious about trying it. People in general, especially online, are becoming more openly kinky, so it seems like part of a broader cultural change in that regard.

For the most part though, it's probably just a fetish thing and not so much a romantic attraction to animals.

As I am concerned…. It nooo kinks r kinky🤷‍♀️….I enjoys for pupp I sees happy after sexy times. I noooo ever comfy with others knows tho. I hears many negative comments about animals an the peoples in my age types🤷‍♀️

It is becoming more mainstream as female sexuality is evolving. And I am talking about F/M bestiality. But it will never become socially "acceptable" and it doesn't need to become "acceptable" except inside the narrow zoo community. The rule is - keep it under wraps.

A show like this would definitely get tons of eyeballs. But any TV network or content provider (like Netflix or Hulu, etc) would risk losing advertising by picking up a show with this kind of topic. It's strictly a numbers game with all the budgetary austerity measures at places like Netflix. It would take a truly ballsy content provider to pick up something having to do with zoo.

As for the writers and producers, I feel few would be willing to put their reputation at risk like this. It would be worth reaching out to someone like Bobcat Goldthwaith to see how he got a film having to do with bestiality greenlit since he wrote and directed Sleeping Dogs Lie back in the early 2000s.

It seems like F/M beastiality is kind of like the new lipstick lesbian porn. It was popular before homosexuality was mainstream. May be a precursor to a broader movement. Porn always seems to be a good indicator of the more secret desires of a population, and in our culture, people don't want to have to keep parts of them locked away in secret. We want to be able to celebrate those parts of us that we see as defining. I agree though that it's definitely not the time to be waving any flags. Keep it secret, keep it safe... for now.

I haven't seen that movie. I'll have to check it out. Nive profile pic, btw. Is that Simone?

As long as we have at least one good partner in our life that accepts us that's all I need c: not everyone has to know

Look what you can buy in Oz Woolwrth

Also "Bestia" is an award winning short with beast. Unfortunately its about torture by Chilean secret police, so its no help. Im not gonna see it.

There's more awareness about people into it than it was before whether its through dating apps or here. Also, it was surprising because lot of people I threw hint on to were actually interested or had past encounters. To me, this will take time before it gets completely / legally accepted worldwide.

Does anyone think/feel that the fetishization of a thing, be it zoo or whatever, can sometimes stand in the way of the thing being legitimized? If something can be reduced down to a kink and dismissed as a perversion, doesn't it make it harder for people to see or understand those that are looking for more legitimate recognition or acceptance of their mutually loving relationship with their chosen companion?

I think you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned that it was a comedy film. Bestiality has always been comedically portrayed, but that doesn’t really shift the needle towards acceptance or people being more open about it. It’s still dark comedy for the vast majority of humans out there.

If
You’re a gay guy, and you’ve been to Palm Springs, and you’ve met “the fur guy” trust me! That guy has taken many to his farm and he’s a muscle head owner but his farm is safe and secure and walk around naked for a good four acres nobody seeing you. And seeing others gay guys dick training it behind a mares pussy is a sight to see but dude doesn’t let nobody record and he’s the only one that can record as a condition. He’s always out and about at the clubs around there in fur outfits u gotta look for him specific. He has chest tattoos. I was amazed a year ago when I met him I highly encourage it.

I do not think there is any cultural shift towards the public being more accepting of it, at least not in my lifetime. There have been attempts by many people in the past to make people more comfortable and open to talking about it but it has always gone nowhere and laws have only gotten stricter in recent years and the people who do ara always ridiculed. It's better than when bestiality meant a death sentence so I will give it that.

There are a few individuals here and there online who try to be open about it but they are met with hostility.

It’s either going to totally accepted or we will live in a society where no sex even between two heterosexual adults will be allowed. I’m betting more on the latter. Hoping for the former though

As much as they have become more accepting of that is a negative thing I don't see why beast is still frowned upon.

I mean same sex and interracial (not that there is or ever was anything wrong with it)is now legal.

Marijuana is legal in many states.
Criminals having rights.

Why not?

I guess the biggest thing is no one wants to run on the "make beastiality great again" campaign.

I've had interactions with individuals that were, not supportive, but were somewhat accepting of bestiality. They just accepted it, like someone would accept if i I had told them I was into people farting on me. Only one person I've known was 100% accepting.

I believe there is a clear reason zoo is frowned upon. Its hard to prove consent was involved and no manipulation was involved.

That being said. I have no clue how accepted bestiality ever really was, obviously it was never accepted mainstream.
