Zoovile Element Chat homeserver disabled registration?

So I was trying to make an account on Element but it says the homeserver has disabled registrations? And the main thread regarding the chat is down. Anyone know what's going on there?

We had problems recently with spammers disrupting the chat, so new registrations are temporarily disabled.
