I’ve found 2 or 3 ”zoos” on Grindr recently. Either through discussion or through context clues on profiles. I can’t help but be suspicious, I don’t have any intention on meeting them without some thorough questioning on their intentions.

How do you feel about this? Should I be skeptical?

I’d be skeptical personally. The possibly legal trouble isn’t worth the risk. I may never do it again in general cause if the legal risk let alone meeting on vanilla platforms

Well, bringing zoo topics to non-zoo meet-up platforms seems like a good way to get yourself outed, get blackmailed, reported, or endanger you or your animal(s)

What signs did they use? I sometimes just add a zeta sign at the end of my bio, but I’m wondering what other innocuous signs I could use.

There aren't any. I don't care where you go, this World is not the place where the Lion and the Lamb coexist....there is NO 'Peaceable Kingdom'. On a vanilla site any hints you think you see probably relate more to a video game than a real life. Add the average internet dweller's desire for Fame, and you're not asking, but begging to get poked in the Eye with a sharp stick.
