I personally know one individual, but have talked to many, and have seen many, many people specifically advertising they're looking for it online. It's not all that fringe. I did a quick check, and there are thousands of people advertising they're looking for it in the US alone. Cuckold porn is apparently one of the more frequently searched topics. Whether you, or I, or any specific person likes it or not has little bearing on its prevalence.
I'll leave the definition of what is and isn't a kink to the people who have them.
