What vehicle works great for your pups? How well do they fit? How about long road trips? What about when they get older and can't jump in? How many pups?

At first glance, the Toyota Rav4 or 4Runner, Ford F150 or Explorer, Subaru Outback or Forester, all seem reasonable.

I've only got one, but she likes long road trips in a regular car, just a little 4 door subaru, I have a little bed thing that goes in the back seat so she's got room to stretch out and relax but most of the time she's up in the passenger seat with me. Pretty low to the ground so when she gets older it won't be much of an issue. PT Cruisers aren't half bad because you can fold the seats down however they have a record of breaking down and the cause being a bitch and a half to even diagnose. I hope you can find the right one for you <3

True, wagons/hatchbacks are nice cause they are lower to the ground... Though the 4Runner has a ridiculous amount of space when the seats are down, just poor MPG. Maybe a ramp would help the pups get in the back.

not really favorite, just one i can afford and is combi. first generation skoda fabia. my boy just barely fist the trunk to still be comfortable (able to turn around). she has over 300kms under the hood now so i'm pretty sure she'll break down before my dogs get old enough for the kinda high trunk door to be a problem.

In the case of one dog any car is suitable, it can also travel in the back seat.

For 1-2 dogs, average station wagons are suitable, the rear door of which opens completely and leaves no threshold above which have to jump over. Old-style "brick"-like station wagons with large windows are preferable, not the younger drop-shaped ones (the dog's head reaches the roof at the back door and can't see out).

In the case of several dogs, small, medium vans (windshielded) or their long versions.

Off-road vehicle, pickup, SUV... is not suitable. It is very tall, and it is difficult for the dog to jump in even when young.

In his old age, it is worth helping him with his hand or build a ramp.

I have a Caddy, I just forgot to write it down last time.
The long version so that everyone can fit comfortably and 4motion, because many of us walk in mud and wet areas, especially if she's heat and I want to far take them for a walk away from populated areas.
Unfortunately, these cars are not usually powerful, but a tuning workshop managed to achieve 200 hp with the 2.0 TDI engine.
