Would you ever own a exotic animal?

Just wondering, would anyone ever own a exotic animal if they could? Romantic or platonic? I know the topic can be controversial and in some cases dangerous. Just wondering about everyone's opinions as someone who is attracted to exotic animals.

If I could meaning I would have the money, the facility and the knowledge to give an exotic animal a good home, I would like to have one.
I would prefer taking in an orphan or a rejected cub or an animal born in captivity that would not be able to be released.

That is a great answer! I agree, there is so many animals that need to be saved.
