Will my dog ever mount?

Hi there
I’m new to the forum and very glad to be here.

I was wondering, is it likely that my dog will never mount me?

Let me give a little background.
He is 4 years old, still has his balls, and was brought into my home around 5 months ago now.
Now, I didn’t start attempting sexual encounters with him until he had settled in (I wanted him to get comfortable in my home first).
He will absolutely lick my vagina/vulva and anus until the cows come home - In fact I have to politely decline this if it isn’t the right place or time!
And he’s starting to enjoy me rubbing and playing with his penis and knot... he used to only allow so far before starting to whine so I would stop and try again another time.
However, so far, he has not been interested whatsoever in mounting or even humping... why might this be? He does get aroused but never displays humping and refuses to mount

I will never force him to do anything he isn’t comfortable with and of course I didn’t bring him into my home with the sole purpose of being one of my sexual mates... however, what are the chances he will never want to? Mount me and actually fuck this is?
He doesn’t even try to mount other dogs.. could he just not be interested?

I’ve had a fair bit of experience with dogs in the past, pretty much all my life, but he is my first dog I’ve actually owned in my own home.
I’m not sure whether it’s a case of maybe him still not being settled enough in my home yet? But all his other behaviours say otherwise... it’s not exactly the type of topic you can discuss with a animal behaviourist, is it...
All dogs I’ve been with in the past (make) have attempted to mount as soon as I get on my knees... but this boy, walks away and doesn’t get the cue? So I wait and try again later, but no luck.

I guess I’m just looking for some advice on what to do and education on why he isn’t doing this really.
Should I give up, or is it a case of keep trying until he’s actually wanting to? As I said, I will never force him and if having sex isn’t on the table then I will accept that.

I've never had this issue myself, but I think it should be possible to troubleshoot what's what to some extent by knowing what your dog is like. Has he ever humped your leg or a sofa, or expressed any need for it at all? You say he gets aroused, but if he never exhibits any proper mating response, how sure are you?
Moreover, you say you got him at the age of four. Do you have any idea of what he has been taught by previous owners? If you don't raise him yourself, you end up having to deal with a lot of unknowns regarding his upbringing.

You say he is 4 years old, and have had him for 5 months. So he's had previous owners. Chances are they've trained the jumping, mounting and humping behavior out of him, especially considering he's an intact (and likely horny) male.

You might just have to retrain him.

You should take time and as told before me, maybe that dog was instructed to not mount or even paw. You know, the common behavior people don't want male dogs to display, but you want to do it only with you. Maybe you should try to guide him a little more but this would be only after you should progress a bit into the jerking off... you should be able to make him orgasm (if he allows it) so he can understand he can feel good with you. Using your period-time also can make him to understand some signals (They are interesting to them, if you feel uncomfortable you can wait up until the period finishes or when your discharges are lesser so the aroma is still there and it's attracting).

Maybe he needs some slow showing from you that he can do that when you show certain facts, like being naked, on a certain time, etc. Also, use your own vagina and smell to give him hints abour whenever he can behave like this.

It's slow, but can be rewarding. I have a friend of mine who happened to be in the same situation, but she gave up and after 2 years the dog himself licked and "jerkerd himself" off with his own mouth, so it started back again.
