Why the apprehension?

We all know how hard it can be to find community..it's why we're all here! But even here it's anything but easy. I understand some are afraid of being outed, etc. but is stuff like that even really happening on here? Who joins a zoo board to out people?

Someone I spoke to once alluded to there being these kinds of bad actors on the site, and to be careful. Understood, internet safety rules always apply..but can anyone speak more directly to this kind of thing happening? Or sound off on what personally gives you apprehension about connecting with others on here?

my guess would be the same sort of ppl who used to join homosexual boards (apparently used to be or maybe still is a thing in russia for example) to out ppl... then just beat them up or beat them and turn them in where applicable. i'm pretty sure they usually call themselves "the good guys".

don't be naive when interacting with ppl online, lots of self-appointed "good guys" everywhere.. especially if you consider "our" sexuality being viewed as "straight up rape" by the masses. the worst part is that you can't even blame them. i mean, if they're able to catch someone on "i'll totally give you my dog to fuck" bait (and there's loads of "looking for owner" threads) then how are "we" to be viewed as anything but "rapists"....

Before I left telegram, there were numerous attacks against zoo groups that even affected groups I was in with the intention to collect user data and post public lists of zoos. Those who used similar names sometimes got outed on other platforms.
 
I have come to realize that even in here you can find evil bigots. It surprised me that in a community that is socially Just above pedos so much prejudice still exists
 
The main reason why so many of us are so apprehensive about others is simply because they are only looking for a quick hookup and nothing more, I for one don't whore out my companions and lovers and have zero interest in humans period. So it's all risk for absolutely no gain of any kind on my end to be bothered by non-owners.

Look up "rolling queers". It used to be popular weekend entertainment in some places. Now that the LGBTQ community is largely off limits, guess who isn't.
 
there's an old saying... "the first person to let out your secret was you". when you share this lifestyle with anyone, you're basically giving them your life and that person can, may, will spill the beans and make your life very, very hard to live or basically render you as exiled from society.

it's not so much that people will out you, it's that they can. no matter how much you may trust someone, people can change from moment to moment depending on their own warped view of self-preservation or just malice.

Why the apprehension? Because trusting people in this instance can ruin your life and possibly that of others close to you.
 
Things as always. If you do not want information out, don't put it on the Internet.

There sure is people here with a mission to "finish the evil", but even if it wasn't, the information goes out through search bots and can end in most ridiculous places.
I even witnessed posts of an accdental outing of a zoo when someone in an unrelated site posted a link to that "what a perverts site" and the guy had the same username and way to write. People looked somehow shocked but he managed to act cool. Either way... not nice when it happens.
