i recently joined here after not being very active online after the old bf went down ! after chatting with a friend on aother zoo website they mentioned about there the new bf as they said ! well i joined and though it looks fantastic i even made a post in the personal adds then browsed a bit then logged off thought id check back on here today only the second time i have been on here only to have some comments on my post ! one person posting a post from another member worning people and another claiming to have had a discussion with me and telling all i was a fake and a poser ! i do find that to be a very strange comment to make when i have only just sined up to the site and haven't even sent a single message to anyone on here ! thank you to the few kind messages i received but did not think i was going to get a response from people i thought would have been supportive of a fellow zoo not making up lies ! maybe its best i just leave the site

I see the one you're obviously speaking of, and it's clearly not aimed *AT YOU* - it's a general-purpose "heads up, we've had problems with people who show up with "taboo" in their name" (and we have - look around a while, or actually follow the link, and you'll see exactly what the story is) The comment saying that they'd had a discussion (which you clearly took as meaning "had a discussion with *YOU*") was someone saying, in effect "yeah, that asshole tried playing his games with me, too", clearly (at least to me) meaning the asshole the warning was about, not *YOU*. You, being ever-so-sensitive, decided it's an attack, and thus this thread came into being.
Welcome to the reality of the internet, bud (or bud-ette, whichever the case may be). It comes raw, uncensored, with all the sharp edges and un-rounded corners intact and unpadded. If you're going to survive it, you're going to have to grow a hide that's a good bit less sensitive than the one this thread implies you currently wear. Unfortunate? Perhaps. Reality? Without a doubt.

As a bit of advice, I'd strongly suggest you don't go anywhere near the section called "The Dumpster Fire" - There's a lot of truth (and personal feelings that might or might not be truth, but are what the poster thinks, regardless) and *VERY* few pulled punches to be seen there. If you're as delicate as this thread seems to indicate, you won't last more than a few seconds there before you start screeching for your "safe space" and complaining how horrible everybody is. what a strange way to respond to a new member ! i did take time to read the comments and still they seem to be aimed at me as did a couple other people that messaged me but that's just your option ! as i am entitled to mine ! find it very hard to see how you got to the actively hunting for something to get bent out of shape about! no one is screeching for a safe space at all i had hoped that a place like this is about accepting people that are into the lifestyle who ever they are and not be judged clearly i was mistaken i was hoping to be a contributing member of this community

(Looking at your original post you seem to already be aware of it.) Basically ZooVille has had an influx of fake users trying to expose and out zoos. A lot of these fake users have names that include, taboo, slut, k9, deviant, extreme, and pig. Unfortunately, your name includes two that are on this list. So for a lot of users it threw up a red flag.
Like @saddlebum66 mentioned, it's best to develop a reputation on here. Post around and let people see for them self what kind of person you are. Let people make judgments off of that. Generally your sanding in the community here is based off of consistent posting, historical posts, and prior connections.
Admins have the ability to change usernames, so that you don't suffer with a negative association from your name choice, you should message ZTHorse and ask to change it.

How did I get to "actively hunting"? Simple: It's screamingly obvious, at least to me, that nobody said diddly-squat to you, aimed any ill-will at you, or otherwise "pissed in your punch bowl" to warrant you starting this thread. But here you are, howling like somebody did everything but tar and feather you - after drop-kicking your puppy across the street, threatening to bugger your granny, and trying to burn down your house.
You took something that, to anyone NOT looking for an excuse to be offended, would (like myself) see as a general purpose "Look out - "taboo" in a username has a track-record of being a red flag signal of a troublemaker" warning as a personal attack, when quite clearly, it wasn't. You took a response to that post as being "Yeah, this person who started this thread is a complete shithead" when the context (including quoting the post you seem to not like) of the post makes it clear that the actual meaning was "Yeah, that scumbag you're talking about proved himself to be an asshole in his interactions with me, too". What's the logical conclusion to draw from such a reaction? The first thing that leaps to mind for me is that you're fishing for an excuse to play the "victim" card. Dunno (or care - that's entirely your biz, not mine) who messaged you and said they agree that you're getting shit on, but whoever they were, clearly they're playing the same "let's get offended" game, too - something that's becoming *FAR* too damned common these days, not only here on this forum, or even the internet as a whole, but in real-life, and something that I've lost every shred of tolerance for that I might ever have possessed.
You wanna stick around? Great! Look around. Jump into some threads. Make some posts. You wanna bail out and go for a new name and try for a do-over? That's fine too. (Just watch out for the fact that it might be considered a bad move by the powers that be - Suggest you message a staffer about it first) Regardless of what handle you happen to use, you'll either prove with your posts that you're "good people", and get the treatment that warrants, or you'll prove yourself to be an asshole, and find yourself either banned or shunned. Either way, know that posting something that hints at "You guys are a bunch of big ol' meanies! I should just leave!" won't gain you anything - more likely, the kindest response you'll get will be a variant of "don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out".

The simple answer is that zoophiles are human, which means almost any kind of humans. We have good people, bad people, and mentally unhinged people. We have long-winded people, people that don't say very much at all, liberals, conservatives, gun-nuts, anti-gun nuts, gamers, armchair politicians, and a plethora of different kinds of people.
As long as a certain number of human beings are punks, a certain number of zoophiles will likewise be punks.
Oh, and we have had a lot of trolls come on here claiming to be "taboo." It's a bit of a trigger word now for some zoos.

Generally people are accepting here. There are exceptions—as there are always exceptions when there is freedom of speech. Better don't focus on the exceptions, because it will neither make you happy nor bother them.
You had a rough start, because your first post and choice of username made some people remember bad experiences from the past. Basically, you seem to have been mistaken for someone else. Unfortunate, if unjustified, but please don't take it personal. Being mistaken means that any negativity you experienced wasn't meant for you, but for another person who deserves it.
