why change e-mail adress

why i must have change my e-mail adress to protonmail?
my old e-mail adress can´t verfied (the verficitanion mail does not arrive).

and why was there no announcement of these decision?

i needed a few days to find it out
because my account was disabled

Because you stupidly have email notifications turned on in privacy and they're getting reported back to the forum software as undeliverable and it wants that fixed.
