Where would I post a service thread?

So I wish to open up my video upscale services to everybody here for free and allow users to request a video of theirs to be upscaled.

Example, left original, right upscaled.

Note: I would not be upscaling images, this is just a screen grabs from the video.

It would be one thread where the main post would be updated to include new download links to upscaled videos and other users would comment a video of theirs they wish to have upscaled.

It would have to be download links because the filesize of 1 video far exceeds the allowed upload size for attachments on threads. Other uploaders of upscaled videos have uploaded them in very small chunks (10 second videos etc). Not only would this be a pain in the ass but also impossible to do with the allowed attachment limit of 10 per post if the video is longer (like 10 minutes). So since it would be links does this mean it technically belongs in Link Dump?

For me the obvious answer would be in Requests, but since my last thread posting a upscaled video got removed by a very helpful mod who gave the feedback of "read the rules" I thought I would ask here just to make sure.

Any feedback or knowledge on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

If you are a mod and are going to remove this also that is fine I have no issue with that, but could you at least give me a hint of what is wrong instead of "read the rules" (as a example point towards Security and Posting Rules #) because it gets really confusing for relatively niche thing like this in order to figure out what exactly the issue is.

Your original thread was removed by me, because you can no post offsite download links here. It is in the rules.
If you "read the rules" you discover:
9. No link trading or any trading of any kind. This includes mega or other file exchange services, account or website passwords to commercial or any other websites including this one. Do not advertise that you want to exchange ANYTHING in the forum or anywhere else.

On a personal note. There is almost no difference in the two images you posted.
They are almost entirely equally blurry only the upscaled one looks like it was ironed 5 times. So you will be making files unreasonably large and difficult to download over tor and vpn with minor or no perceivable improvement in quality.
Keep in mind that people here use tor and that service gets you 400kbs on a good day.

Thank you for replying, I greatly appreciate it.

So for clarifycation this rule is defined here?
Underage material is never tolerated, and members posting anything of this nature will be immediately removed without any prior warning! The term material is defined as any video, image, or text file that is pornographic. These materials include but are not limited to materials that have been included in a text post, attached as a file for download, or links redirecting to outside sources. Suppose you are in doubt about the content you see or want to share. Please report it to the moderators. Abusive/underage content should be reported. Members will not be retaliated against for reporting. Pedophilia is not allowed to be promoted in any form.

Because I was under the impression that pertained specifically to underaged material.
I can't find anything else related to offsite download links when I search for "download", "offsite" "third party" or "link" in the rule post.

As a follow up, now that I know not to post a offsite download link (and I won't). What would you suggest the solution is to not being able to post download links? Creating multiple threads and splitting the video up? Uploading it to a third party tube site and posting it in link dump?

Edit: I saw your personal note, I disagree. If you saw the original video compared to the upscaled one there is a very clear difference in quality. The issue is that they are both still frames from a video. No single still frame is going to give you a true proper comparison. I could make a 10 second comparison if you would like.

Either of those would work. As long as the video itself does not break other rules. Like the one about commercial content or any rules about animal abuse...
So before you waste energy on heating up your room with your GPU, make sure you actually want to do this for other people.
Because if you ever post something bad, you are going to be the one getting the heat.

If you think there is no improvement that is fine.

I guess I will stop trying to add something like upscaling to this community and just lurk instead until I find something else I can do that people would enjoy.

In my opinion the new image looks artificial, with odd loss of texture and flat colors.
The result is going to depend on the input file so you are going to get some better and some worse examples.

So far the community appears to like upscaling despite it making the files unreasonably large.
(considering that the porn section inhabitants consider 144p videos shot with an orange "extremely hot", you can probably earn their praise with literally anything that has a female human in it :D )
So if you find a way of doing within the limits of this website, go ahead.
One possibility might be to upscale the video and then upload it in a format that spares space to fit into the upload limit. Or upscale it to a more reasonable resolution which does not make it 1GB. These videos are watched most of the time in browser and do not need to be 1080p or 4k. Also at some point upscaling is just not going to make it better no matter how high the resolution is. You can not make up endless pixels out of lack of additional information.
