what you do if your animal friend isn't doing for you anymore?

what would you do if your animal friend had to bey neutered and lost interest, or didn't have any interest on you from start no matter how much you convince them?
or at the other end of that, what if they (mostly males) are only focus on themselves and leaving you unfulfilled or sore from their lack of care?

what is the point you give up on that companion and would seek a human you can ask for something / just don't do it with them anymore and try you luck on the next generation?
or do you insist and try your best to turn that lackluster experience into a pleasuring you with determination and patince and try to teach you companion how to pleasure you?

EDIT: everyone here seems to be forgetting this is a ZOO forum, if I want general pet advice I'd look at reddit or youtube

I had to have my husky gal neutered a few months after I got her due to medical reasons as well. I still love her to the moon and back and will go to any lengths possible for me to keep her happy and safe. Seeing that she's doing great a year after her surgery is so delightful!
I see sex with my companions as an optional benefit. They don't want or can't have intercourse? Well, tough luck!
Seeking a sexual human relationship because of that? No dice!
 
He is completely devoted to you, and his love for you knows no end. I would urge you to keep him and love him as the perfect companion that he, himself, loves being for you. He lives for your petting, cuddles and kisses, and deserves all of those you can give him.

the question was about the lack of sex, not love!
do you just stop any sexual acts with that pet or do you try to convince them? what you do?

I wasn't implying you WOULD get rid of him. You made no indication you would do that. I only said to keep loving him. I even fully believed you would keep loving him. I'm sorry if I gave an impression otherwise. As for the lack of sex, I no longer have a dog and have never been sexual with one, so, I can't help with that. I'm sorry.
 
Love and Sex are two different things....but untold damage has been done when people fail to discern this simple fact. Most of us learn it as we grow up....some never do.

Wow.....im still trying to process your coldness and callousness frankly....you let them be and love them unconditionally.
Maybe the dog sensed your indifference and cold nature from the beginning and THAT may be why you dont get the response you'd like...

Additionally it seems like early training and REAL love was amiss somewhere, and like raising a child,
YOU have to give them that devotion and invest the time, nurturing love and care sincerely ...

Let the dog be and buy a Knot toy....and let him live out his days as a valued part of your world....loved n cared about.

My newfie is a slutty girl while my mutt mix only likes fingering. Even if both of them could no longer be pleasured sexually, it doesn't matter to me. Sex happens due to mutual enjoyment and nothing more. While I might be a bit disappointed if sex was no longer in the equation, our love and dedication to each other means way more than anything else. We are a pack, and always will be for the rest of their lives. I will love them both until their last breath on this earth no matter what.

You give him or her the life you promised when you acquired a dog. If the "pet"portion of your relationship overtakes the "lover" aspect, that IS still part of the commitment. It doesn't mean 24 hours a day at rover's beck, nor does it preclude another critter in your life, but it does mean lifetime care and caring for the ex-loving pet. Assuming you were old enough to have made the committment, you made the committment....it isn't unliveable....if you love the critter, it should be part of the pleasure.
 
I've had this happen, it's not a big deal. Sex isn't the reason I love them so it doesn't really change a lot of things, plus there are still other ways of releasing pent up energies. Some are still interested even after neutering, but if not, not a real big deal.

You carry on as usual, just there's one activity which you probably aren't engaging in anymore. The important parts of the relationship are still intact.
 
You don’t get any animal for just a sexual companion they should be treated as family (IMO) and you accept them as such. If your ready to dispose of an animal for the reasons you stated YOU SHOULD,NT have one.

the key thing about being zoo is simply loving them no matter how sexually uninterested they are in you. its about care for the individual the bond the fulfillment if those arent good enough for you. you shouldnt have a partner to begin with if your not ready for that commitment. nevertheless even if your unsatisfied all that matters is your animal friends good health.
