what recipe do you use for your lube batches with k-lube? I find just room temp water and the directions-provided amount makes lube that dries out rather fast with too much powder and is noticably less slick than store bought lube with too little powder. I've read about microwaving, boiling, adding generic lube to the batch etc. got any tips? The two best I have found are J lube, and K lube.
The names sound funny. But J-lube is often used in farm animal birthing. Because it comes in a powder and can be mixed to whatever thickness you like. But it is CRAZY slick and doesn't dry out fast. But you can't make large amounts to store, because it has properties that can mold/go bad.
K-lube is similar. It comes in a powder form, but unlike Jlube it has a preservative that means you can make liquid to store.
Both come in a small bottle that makes a massive amount. I'm pretty sure that a $20 bottle of J-lube can make something like 2-3 gallons of thick Lube. K-lube is a bit more expensive but makes about the same amount.
I start by using bottled water, or water filtered through a Zero filter to remove as many impurities as possible.
